WILD BLUEBERRY LEGISLATIVE TOUR
Organized and Hosted by the Wild Blueberry Commission of Maine
Maine state policymakers, JOIN US as we visit wild blueberry farms and businesses across Maine during peak harvest season to learn first-hand what it takes to be a member of Maine's dynamic wild blueberry industry. Room, board, and transportation from, and back to Bangor is provided.
Day 1 (Friday, August 4th):
A guided tour of Wyman's facilities and fields in Deblois followed by lunch and learn at Blueberry Hill Farm in Jonesboro.
Day 2 (Saturday, August 5th):
We will visit three small wild blueberry farms participating in our 3rd annual Wild Blueberry Weekend!
ITINERARY:
(DAY 1) AUGUST 4
9:00 AM - MEET AT HOLLYWOOD CASINO AND HOTEL PARKING

9:15 AM- Depart for Jasper Wyman’s and Son
601 ME-193, Deblois
Note: If following along, we will be stopping at Popple Hill, near the Wyman’s facility, before parking at the plant. Please follow the busses!
10:15 AM - Jasper Wyman’s and Son factory tour
12:15 AM - Depart for University of Maine Blueberry Hill Farm, Jonesboro

1:00 PM - LUNCH AT UMAINE BLUEBERRY HILL FARM IN JONESBORO

5:00 AM (OPTIONAL) - Depart for Sunrise Ceremony at Welch Farm
5:15 AM (OPTIONAL) - Sunrise Ceremony at Welch Farm performed by Hubert Francis, member of the Mi’kmaq tribe of Big Cove, Canada
